New Delhi. Taking due cognizance of the convenience of Haj pilgrims from Goa, the Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Praful Patel has taken the initiative to add Goa as an additional embarkation point for Haj 2010. 

This has been a long pending demand from the Goa Government, Goa State Haj Committee and the local populace of Goa. This initiative of the Government will ensure direct flights for Hajis from Goa who hitherto had to come to Mumbai to board for Jeddah/Medinah. It will benefit more than 500 pilgrims from Goa.
